What is your return policy?
As our cushions covers are custom made, they are non-refundable. If there is an issue with your order we will be happy to work with you to come to a solution.
In order to resolve cases, we must be contacted within a reasonable amount of time from the product shipping date. For any issue regarding an order, we must be contacted with 10 days of the ship date for Canadian and US orders or within 15 days for international orders or we may not be able to help resolve the issue.
If there is an error with your order or if there are any changes you wish to make after your order has been placed, we require that you contact us within 8 hours of the order being placed or by the following business day if the order was placed over the weekend.
When contacting us with an issue, please be sure to include photos for our reference.
All returns are handled on a case by case basis. In most cases we do not cover the shipping cost of a returned item. Returns must be received within 30 days.
What is your shipping policy?
Tracking for USA and Canada:
Tracking is available on all orders except flat rate Canadian shipments.
Tracking for International Orders:
International orders shipped with regular service are not trackable once they leave the USA. Express orders (DHL) can be tracked in transit.
Declared Value for International Orders:
International shipments will have a declared value for customs purposes. The declared value is the shipping value or amount paid by you.
Limited Shipping Options to Some Countries:
Due to statistically high non-delivery, there are some countries for which we only offer DHL express shipping to in order to ensure the package is not lost.
Damage and Insurance:
Once your package leaves our shop, it is the responsibility of the Carrier. Damage caused by the Carrier or by careless opening is not the responsibility of Barbara Gallo Design. If a package is damaged by the Carrier, we can open a claim. If your package is of high value, you may be able to add additional insurance to it. Contact us if you would like to insure your order or if your package arrived damaged.
If your order is returned to us, we will contact you. The shipping cost on returned orders must be paid before they are sent out again.
Where are your cushions made?
Each design is an original work of art, created by Barbara of Barbara Gallo Design. Each cushion cover is custom printed on demand with permanent reactive digital inks and hand sewn in Canada.
What are the cushions made out of?
Our cushions are available in either a cotton/linen blend or poly/velveteen.
Our cotton/linen blend is specially developed with 68% cotton/32% linen fibers. It is a medium weight, semi structured fabric that has a slight texture with slubbs and irregularities indicative of a natural fibre. This fabric lends itself perfectly to the subject matter in the ‘Naturals’ Design Collection and is casual in it’s appearance and hand.
Our 100% polyester velveteen is super cuddly and soft to the touch. It has an 80,000 double rub count for fabric durability. A more structured fabric than our cotton/linen blend, the poly/velveteen lends itself to a
more traditional, formal aesthetic.
Do your cushion covers have zippers?
The cushion covers feature an invisible zipper close, so you can remove the insert to wash the cover.
How do I wash my cushion cover?
These covers are easy care, machine washable in cold water with a phosphate-free detergent. Do not bleach. Hang to dry. They can also be dry-cleaned.
Please Note: For the first wash for Cotton/Linen Blend – Hand Wash in cool water with vinegar & salt to preserve colour. Hang to dry. Iron on cotton setting.
What kind of inserts do you offer?
Our premium cushion inserts are filled with a blend of small waterfowl feathers to give each cushion the perfect plumpness and allow for an excellent ‘designer chop’. The outer shell is constructed from 100% cotton ticking with a 270 thread count. All of our cushion fills are made in Vancouver, Canada
